In this abstract piece, I wanted to explore the idea of a future life communing with nature, and chose to integrate a subtle female form in amongst the autumnal leaves and trees, with her belly signifying birth and new beginnings.
The painting is intended to be a tactile piece, with the smoothness of the woman’s body set against the fibrous and rough qualities of the bark.
